0 out of 5 stars The lack of serious competition will make sure this sells. However, there is little improvement in this 3rd edition over the 2006 second edition. The addition of the newer figurines and an update in pricing, which seems to average about 16 increase, are the main differences. There is also a size difference. There is no new information about each piece that is not in the earlier version. It would have been nice to include the size of each item. There is an annoying change in the index that consolidates several previous entires into entries by series. For example, instead of separately listing the sugar town skating pond there is one listing for the series 'sugar town' with 18 page numbers. Overall, I was disappointed in this guide and would recommend that anyone not needing information on the last 2 years figurines stays with the 2nd edition and awaits the 4th.The book itself has a picture of every single Precious Moment, the different symbols each one could have to determine their worth and even gives you the cost of the original purchase when it first came out. I found the guide to be very helpful. I would highly recommend if you are a collector and would like to know the worth of each Precious Moment. I found that quite a few of them are worth much more than the original cost. I also bought the Bakertowne's Guide, but that guide is not nearly as informative as this one and has no pictures of the figurines. It has color pictures of each figurine as well as the name, product number and values for each symbol that can be found on the bottom of the figurines. There is also a place next to each figurine picture to write the purchase date and price paid. At the back of the book, there is a numerical and title index. I have looked for similar books and can't find anything comparable that I like as much. I've collected Precious Moments for years and this is a great reference book to help document my collection.http://www.kranjska-cebela.si/Upload/braun-cruzer-2675-manual.xmlHowever, because values change from year to year, it could be a lot of work transferring them to a new book each year. I think every couple of years would be fine to keep track of what you have unless you purchase numerous figurines every year. Those were great to have as they had all the markings for each year, suspended items, retired pieces and anything you might want to know in case you would like to sell any pieces or just for insurance reasons. Thank You. PaulaIt also provides a guideline as to value of each figurine which can be useful for insurance purposes as well. A great gift for Precious Moment collectors who never knew what their collection was worth or what the symbols on the bottom mean. Chris B. 4.0 out of 5 stars One reason for not giving it 5 stars is the way the book is set up. The figurines are placed in figurine mold number order. It would enable finding your pieces much faster than using the mold number. We found that it was a helpful tool when a piece had no visible number but you were able to cross reference by saying to see a picture of the piece. The book is almost complete I believe we have one or two pieces not listed or some of the earlier production mark on a few figurines but when you are verifying over 500 pieces does it really matter. Good reference book to update a very old file. The book is very informative and extremely easy to use. The pictures are great. This great guide is a treasure whether you are a new collector or have been around for a while. I use mine regularly (mostly as a wishbook). Love it!Think it has even more color illustrations and really helps find the value of a Precious Moments figurine or object. Got the guides for my two daughter in loves so they could track their collections as well. They loved it! Keep up the great research for the third edition please.Pleased it was unmarked inside.Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1 Previous page Next page.BAIDUVPN.COM/upload/files/black @ decker bds303 manual.pdf Our payment security system encrypts your information during transmission. This is not the books fault but I thought collecting these figurines were supposed to appreciate in value. If you believe that Precious Moments were suppose to gain value this book will open your eyes and then make you cry. Again it is not the books fault but I really feel cheated I spent thousands for something that is only worth a few hundred according to the book. It gives you two prices. The sales price if you try to sell it and the insurance price. The insurance price is much kinder so get insurance and have a bonfire. However, it is nice in that it is very simple to use-look your item up alphabetically and there are two price columns, one for insurance and one for resale. The guide is nowhere near complete, there are no pictures and the layout looks like is was done for a middle school typing project. You must have the actual name of the figurine in order to use this book.I was very disappointed. This book should not be recommended when buying other precious moments guide books. I threw it away in the recycle bin. I've already donate it to Goodwill.Did not give as many carb details on different items that I was looking for. Actually found what I wanted in this book.So many of the others were from ten or more years ago. This Food Lists was also fairly current, just not as complete as what I was looking for.Horrible confusing book. It’s a simple strategy for carb counting but there’s no explanation of how much or why ect. Easy 10 minute read that did not prove helpful at all. Waste of time. Disappointing.Knowledge For Approx ??3.38? More of a pamphlet that doctors would hand out to a newly diagnosed patient who has no internet access to look up basic information.Helpful when meal planning and making grocery listsI've found small charts online but I was hoping for something more comprehensive like the books you can buy that list both grocery store and restaurant food and drink that show calories content, similar to that put out by THE BIGGEST LOSER. I'll still keep and read this book for reference purposes. I'm sure it will still help me during my weight-loss journey.Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1 Previous page Next page. Science Guy 3.0 out of 5 stars I haven't yet had time to sit down and read all the way through it. Maybe a thorough read will make it more clear. It's a fairly small little booklet and it seems to be priced high for it's utility. I'll read more and keep at it. I've read more -- This booklet is a waste of time and money. It's 84 pages in a form similar to a 3x5 card in size. It doesn't explain enough to be usable and often refers to having your RDN (Registered Dietary Nutritionist) advise you on what to eat. The food tables are in servings but you don't know how many servings until you consult your RDN. Possibly it's is written as an ad for RDNs. Skip this booklet and by something usable. The ADA should be ashamed to have produced such a useless little guide. For dinner, I'm planning on oven-baked breaded fish, steamed broccoli with butter, and. That is still a heck of a lot better than what I had been eating. I won't always be so microscopic on every one of my meals, but this little booklet is a great guide. I suggest it for anyone who is diabetic or pre-diabetic. I give this four stars. I docked one only because there is so much flipping back and forth that it really needs tabs or something to make it easier to use.The earlier edition was more clear. The new format is confusing.Fast food is generic. No Brand names used which would have been helpful. I don't recommend.Definitely handy to have. Even if it's just to keep yourself accountable.I find the book really helps when I create a food plan for the week. Since I am just beginning down this road, planning ahead seems to help. She found it easy to understand. Helped her immensely in the grocery store. The collection gives an insight into the teaching of undergraduate music history at the Eastman School by documenting which works and composers received the greatest emphasis in instruction. It is perhaps most valuable as a means of documenting the construction of and life at the School during its early years. Miss Antoine was a successful opera singer who performed with the Metropolitan Opera (1935-47), and later taught at the Eastman School of Music (1957-59; 1966-71). She also taught, at various times, at Indiana University, the University of Colorado, Los Angeles Conservatory, the University of Texas, and Arizona State University. Scrapbooks in the collection cover the years 1928 to 1945. Programs from operatic and concert performances by Miss Antoine are included, as well as a few programs from performances by other musicians. These include original compositions, arrangements of songs from the Great American Songbook and the standard jazz repertoire, re-orchestrations of standard big band arrangements, and a full-length musical. While most of the music in the collection was written for standard jazz ensemble, many pieces were written for a smaller jazz ensemble or for a jazz ensemble with additional orchestral instruments. The imprints were donated by Hiram Watson Sibley, who provided financial support to the group. In addition to a piece for piano four hands and a set of pieces for oboe and piano, the published works also include an autographed copy of Barthe’s prize winning opera La Fiancee d’Abydos. The bulk of the manuscripts consists of songs for voice and piano, and the composition text materials are sketches and entries Barthe used for a composition contest in 1898. The material is of interest to the study of nineteenth-century French opera and especially art song as practiced by a minor but respected composer. For purposes of preservation and ease of access, Dr. Barlow’s compositions have been divided between two separate units of the Eastman School of Music: In addition, RTWSC houses the various sketches, manuscripts, and other documents deemed to be of archival significance. Those performing materials are available by addressing directly the staff of the Ensembles Library. The legacy of that circumstance is manifest in the unusually high number of manuscript facsimile copies present in this collection, many of them marked with performers’ annotations, all of which would routinely have been returned to Dr. Barlow following performance use. Includes an inventory of signatories. Professor and Mrs. Benson made an initial gift of papers in the fall of 2004; further papers will be received in the fall of 2006. Most of the materials initially received are published compositions, together with some manuscripts and also working copies bearing the composer’s annotations, corrections, and revisions. There are no restrictions on the use of the collection other than those imposed by the provisions of the U.S. Copyright Law (1976) and its revisions. Mr. Bergsma’s prominence as a musical academic and as a composer of the second half of the 20th-century render this collection an essential resource. The Library of Congress is the primary repository of his music manuscripts. (Box 14 of the given collection holds relevant correspondence regarding Mr. Bergsma’s deposit of manuscripts with LC.) In addition, the Juilliard School of the Music and the University of Washington (Seattle) hold material relevant to Mr. Bergsma’s faculty service at each. Mr. Bilhorn was also choir director at the West Avenue Methodists Church, Greece Baptist Church, and South Avenue Baptist Church. The materials date from ca. 1934 to 1947. He hand-copied many of the latter for posterity and use. Among his studies are a series of notebooks containing a record of Bloch’s extensive studies of counterpoint, harmony, fugue, form, and what he termed “configuration.” He also made extensive and detailed analyses of works by Bach, Beethoven, and others. The series of Bloch’s teaching materials include lecture notes, tests, and student papers from his work at the Cleveland Institute and the University of California at Berkeley, including manuscripts of students (Roger Sessions, Henry Elwell, and Randall Thompson, among others). These also include fugal studies in the students’ hands. The collection includes correspondence between Bloch and Elwell, as well as Elwell’s memoirs of Bloch. The most significant items are the essay by Ernest Bacon on Bloch as a teacher and the correspondence, from among which the letter by Suzanne Bloch is most interesting. Enid Knapp Botsford was the originator and organizer of the Eastman Theatre Ballet in 1923, which was housed in the facilities of the Eastman School. It is representative of the tastes of the era and includes a typical selection of a variety of vocal and instrumental music. An area of particular interest is the period of World War I and the 1920s. Piano rags and dances are also prominent. Most of the literature in the collection was originally purchased at Neisner’s Five and Dime Store on Main St.Buxton served on the faculty of Stetson University. The cadenzas are for many major works in the instrument’s repertoire. The composers of the cadenzas include many first rank and historically important virtuosos of the time. The collection will be particularly useful for the historical study of violin performance practice during the late nineteenth century. The collection was apparently compiled by the Sibley Music Library staff from gifts to the Library. Ms. Copthorne, who was also a vocalist and pianist, was active in the musical life of Chicago from the 1920s through the early 1940s. An active member of the National League of American Pen Women, she collaborated regularly with fellow NLAPW member Francesca Falk Miller, a poet whose verse Ms. Copthorne set to music.
