In the times of Google and YouTube, Haynes has become so obsolete I don't know why I bothered; old habits I guess. Some of the content isn't even applicable to the truck. I ran out of warranty, and accordingly, things started to fall apart. Bought this for some tie rod end work so I could get some vehicle specifics - I know how to replace tie rods (super simple), but there are always specifics. This book basically said remove old tie rods, put new ones on. I guess that's not wrong. I thoroughly skimmed (oxymoron) through the rest of the book and only found a few nuggets of useful information. In the end, I hit the forums, watched YouTube, and used my experience. Doubt I'll open the book again.I take exception to the cover. I think it covers 1999-2003. It doesn't take much more than page turning before you begin noticing that the book is more about the 7.3 diesel, the V10 gas and the 5.4L gas, than anything else. There are occasions where it mentions the 6.0L and 6.4L diesels but I think that it is more of an exception. As an example, I have yet to find any mention of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the book.http://puisan.ru/uploads/bosch-hydrosensor-dishwasher-manual.xml It wasn't mentioned in the emissions chapter nor the exhaust chapter. How so? I'll look further but I frankly think its missing. So, I give this book 1 star because it provides some common torque settings but I don't find it a very useful repair manual for my 6.4L diesel. Those, with other older engines may find it useful. Just got this book today and I'll return and update this review if I discover that I am mistaken.I don't need help with the basics but nobody know everything.I mostly bought to kaap from having to come inside to look up on computer, so much for that.Great for routine maintenance and some intermediate maintenance. Not much help on advance maintenance issues. Great resourse for torque specs, fluid capacity and some part names. Also nice with some electrical schematics.but if you really need in-depth factory spec procedures.go with the shop manual. It's worth the 800 bucks if you plan on getting super dirty. But those manuals were 6 inches thick and cost several hundred dollars. However, if your like me anything is better than nothing. Still a great help to the backyard mechanics.Pretty useless actually, the web will help you more. It's a shame because it feels like with a little more effort this could be a good guide. They tried to cover every version and every engine in one thin book.Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1 Previous page Next page.
