But you can try to read it with a standard Windows PC eventually you can try Data recovery programs. If this would work, copy your complete disk to one with a similiar capacity and try to use it. Unfortunately, our back up data has also been lost. The electronic repair engineer has indicated that if the NC software for this controller is available they would be able to copy that in another hard drive and install it so that our machine will work smoothly. Ashley 5.0 out of 5 stars The CPJE is a beast of an exam and this book covers most of it. I coupled my studying with the Weissman book and it was great. There was not a question on my exam that I did not recognize because of the material in this book. With it being the first edition, there are some errors and misinformation, but they're easy and obvious to spot and they're mainly due to formatting or printing. But this book is awesome. From a pharmacist in Texas practicing in California (two TOTALLY different practice settings), I highly recommend the investmentIf you are studying for an exam you would expect the tool you use to prepare to be as accurate as possible. Feels almost like the book was rushed. Hopefully future versions are better, but for now this isn't a good investment in my honest opinion. It seemed like they just copy and paste the information from different sources. Also, guidelines were not updated to 2018 guidelines. The questions were spot on and I liked how it was much more condensed and focused. I was able to pass my CPJE with this guide, highly recommend! How to Apply Applying for CPJ Exam Free Resources Exam Tips Study Guide Free Questions About Us Our Team Testimonials Guarantee Terms and Conditions Contact Us Email Us FAQs Survey CPJE stands for California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination. It is the exam pharmacists need to pass to practice in the Golden State, California. Like most other pharmacy exams nowadays, CPJE is computerized, and passing the exam calls for a seventy-five per cent score. How can I easily pass the CPJ Exam. Most prospective candidates have this question at the forefront of their minds. Honestly, not everyone passes the CPJE exam and many wonder whether they too will pass. It's a bit tricky trying to find credible information about the CPJE Exam on the internet - the courses we provide try to dispel some of the myths. What is the Structure of the CPJE. The California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination contains ninety questions, all of which are multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each applicant is given a maximum period of two hours to sit the exam. Understanding the CPJE syllabus is very important because it keeps the examinee in check with regard to the length and content of the exam, which obviously is not as long, especially given there are choices. Applicants should, therefore, spend adequate time mastering what is required for CPJE Exam questions, and familiarize themselves with the commonly used terminologies. What is the content of the CPJE. The totality of the ninety questions throughout the two hours exam period will be geared towards establishing a number of things. Top in the list would be the ability of the applicant to communicate properly with patients. This will be assessed, and the candidate would do well to revise this area. Other areas include the applicants' grasp of the requirements of operation among pharmacists in the region - this includes, but is not limited to, pharmacist care and a demonstration of how to apply the knowledge acquired in training, as guided by the laws of the state. It is very important to recall that the California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination is majorly tailored to clinical questions as well as legal perspectives. What are the best books for the CPJE. Passing the CPJE may simply be a matter of using the right materials in your preparation. It goes without saying that there are tons of materials one could spend an eternity on, but still not score an adequate pass. Using the right materials is not only cost-effective but also time-saving. Take time to study and review the recommended books like A Guide to California Pharmacy Law (by Fred Weissman). There are other online resources at your disposal, such as this one. But most importantly the California website for the board of pharmacy. How long should I study for the CPJE. Anywhere between four and six weeks would be sufficient. Ultimately, it is all about your inherent abilities, taking into account the issues addressed herein, subject to the applicant's time schedule and other variables. It is important to take time and go through every bit of information related to the CPJE exam our Gold Course can provide you with the most that we can offer. Together with other materials, it is advisable that you read and answer each one of the questions and regularly contact our tutor for advice. There are a lot of book reviews on the internet, especially from people who have taken the exam. Consider as much as possible, from as many resources as possible, and critically grasp the content therein. Talk to friends and people online via exam forums to get their experiences and advice so that you do not make the same mistakes that they made. The internship period provides a practical experience of the information one has gathered as they read over the exam content. Through an internship, candidates can easily relate information with particular diseases, drugs, brands and any other pertinent information. In conclusion, make sure you do a thorough review of what is required for the CPJE. It will help build confidence not only for the exam but for your future profession. Last modified: Thursday, 3 June 2021, 12:01 AM. I wholeheartedly believe that you need to be solid on NAPLEX material in order to pass CPJE. Both of my exams had topics all across the board, and therefore you need to be generally strong overall in clinical. I took my NAPLEX on July 28, 2020 and CPJE on August 28, 2020. I do not think that I needed a month in between to prepare for the CPJE because I studied the RXPrep NAPLEX book thoroughly and did not really have to revisit it to be ready for CPJE. It would have been adequate to take CPJE two-weeks after NAPLEX. I do not think it really matters which exam you take first, because in essence, you should already be ready to go at that point. I studied the clinical topics on-and-off for a year prior to my exams. The RXPrep CPJE book is very small, and I was able to read it in its entirety twice, in addition to watching the RXPrep online videos. As I have previously stated, I do not recommend watching the RXPrep NAPLEX online supplemental videos. However, I highly recommend reviewing the RXPrep CPJE videos. The CPJE topic presenter is organized and straight to the point, unlike the NAPLEX videos that go off on tangents and put you to sleep. How long should I study for CPJE. RXPrep coursebooks and RXPrep.com I purchased the RXPrep 2019 coursebook in June 2019 and used it to study the common disease states presented during rotations e.g. hypertension, dyslipidemia, anticoagulation, diabetes, acute care, cough and cold, etc. My school provided the RXPrep 2020 coursebook in January 2020 alongside the online study videos, practice questions, and exams. I was able to stay afloat during my rotations because I was using the RXPrep chapters to study topics seen daily during rotation. I did not find that the online supplemental videos were helpful. There were two clinical questions that were not covered in the RXPrep coursebook or during my APPE rotations. I started studying the RXPrep 2020 California Law Summary for CPJE one week after my NAPLEX. I took two weeks to read the book thoroughly, twice, and watch the online supplemental videos. There was only one law question on my exam that was not covered in the RXPrep book. Top 400 Drugs At a minimum, you should review the top outpatient and inpatient drug list in the RXPrep coursebook. I read the list almost every day for two weeks leading up to my exam date. Missing a question because you do not know the drug is super frustrating. I did not know one drug on CPJE and missed that question. What topics should I focus on? I received my official score in the mail on Monday, September 21. What were my CPJE scores. The other is the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX), which is administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). The test is two hours long, and there are a total of 90 questions to answer. Out of these 90 questions, 15 items are pre-test questions that don’t affect your score. Pre-test questions allow the Board to gather performance data and evaluate the questions before they become scoreable in a future examination. These pre-test questions show up throughout the test, and you will not be able to identify as pre-test items. Candidates may register online by accessing PSI registration website at www.psiexams.com. Please visit the California Pharmacy Board website to obtain the most current information. Depending on the strength of your Pharmacy clinical and law knowledge, your study schedule should be between 10 to 12 weeks. You have two hours to complete the CPJE test. To pass the exam, a test taker must obtain a scaled score of 75. To adjust for the difficulty of different test sets and to ensure fairness to all candidates, the Board practices a criterion-referenced scoring method to determine the passing score for any test set of the CPJE. This method gives a raw passing score, which is converted to a scaled score ranging between 0 and 99. This blog post will show you how to balance studying for both tests at once. However, taking both tests in a short time frame can be a good strategy, as you’ll be ready to apply for your dream job and have an edge with your license in hand.Determine the target test you like to take first and, even more importantly, decide which exam is more critical for you to pass first. Making this decision in advance will give you a valuable sense of focus during crunch time. Pick your official test dates as soon as possible, ideally ones that are not too close to each other. Then schedule your study time, beginning with concepts that apply to both tests and focusing on the more specific aspects of each test as its date approaches. For example, building your clinical knowledge and patient consultation skills will be a boon on both the NAPLEX and the CPJE, making it a worthwhile skill to invest your time. Find the overlap between the two tests, and focus your study efforts on those topics and concepts. If you’re solid in these areas, you’ll have a better chance of achieving your target passing score on both tests, killing two birds with one stone. Concentrate on test-taking skills. Take practice tests and sharpen in on those specific areas in which you need the most work, rather than taking a large-scale approach, investing time in skills and subjects you’re already good.
